A Controlled Vocabulary and Metadata Schema for Materials Science Data Discovery

The International Materials Resource Registries (IMRR) working group of the Research Data Alliance (RDA) was created to spur initial development a federated registry system allow for easier discovery and access materials data. As part this effort, controlled vocabulary metadata schema were developed with contributions from members other experts. Here we describe process, resulting XML schema, lessons learned in use schema.
